On September 5 and 6, 2026, the Sporthalle Alpenstraße in Salzburg turned into a stage for urban basketball for two days straight. Salzburg Courtside had its first edition, a brand new tournament.
Four international teams took part, from Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Streetball rules, music from the speakers, a crowd standing right at the edge of the court instead of up in the stands.
The atmosphere in the hall
Anyone who stopped by that weekend noticed fast: this wasn't a regular league game. The music never stopped, the pace was high, and the crowd stood close to the action instead of far away on benches.
What Courtside has to do with the Knights
Salzburg Courtside is the event project that grew out of the Salzburg Knights. Same people, same hall, the same community that carries club life the rest of the year too.
Everything about Courtside is on salzburg-courtside.com; more club life on Instagram at @salzburgknights. And if watching made you want to play yourself: a trial session with the Knights is possible any time, no big commitment needed.
