Short answers for parents, children and adults who would like to join the Salzburg Knights.
How old does my child have to be to join?
Children can start from about 8 years old, and teenagers and adults are welcome too. The groups: U10 · U12 (approx. 8 to 12 years), U14 (approx. 12 to 14 years), U16 · U19 (approx. 14 to 19 years) and Men's Landesliga (18+).
What does the trial session cost?
Nothing. You can join two sessions for free, with no obligation. Only afterwards do you decide whether you want to stay.
Can I just drop by a training session?
Yes, just drop by. Two sessions are free. A short message beforehand helps us, so the coach knows you are coming. You can send it through the free trial form or by email. Times and halls are on the training times page.
How do I sign up for a trial session?
The easiest way is the form on the Free trial page. Your request reaches us by email. You can also write directly to office@salzburgknights.at.
Where and when do you train?
We train in school gyms in Salzburg: MS Lehen, VS Schallmoos, VS Pestalozzi, BG Nonntal, MS Parsch, Bildungscampus Gnigl. The times for each group are on the Training Times page.
What does my child need to bring?
Indoor court shoes with light-coloured soles, sportswear, a water bottle and good spirits.
What does membership cost?
The annual membership fee per the online registration form (2026/2027 season), paid yearly in advance: U10 · U12 240 euros, U14 · U16 · U19 280 euros, Men's Landesliga 280 euros. Included are training twice a week, federation fee, insurance, tournaments and friendly games. Camps cost extra. A supporting membership is available from 100 euros per year. Details in the online registration form; for children and teens, funding is also available.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
In the first month you get the full annual fee back if it does not fit.
When do I get the ball?
After the first month, if your friend stays. More about the campaign on the Bring a friend page.
When does the season start?
From November.
How does communication work?
Through one WhatsApp group per team. The coach writes the day before.
Is there funding for the membership fee?
Yes. We take part in "Willkommen im Club": for children and teens aged 4 to 18 from low-income families, the program covers 75% of the membership fee (up to 150 euros per year). Email us and we file the application for you.
May parents watch the training?
Yes, parents may watch the training.
How does the club protect children?
The board can be reached confidentially about child protection at office@salzburgknights.at. Our coaches follow clear rules of conduct. More on the About us page.
Which association does the club belong to?
The Salzburg Knights are a member of ASVÖ Salzburg.
Can I join as an adult?
Yes. You can join the Men's Landesliga group (18+). A trial session is possible, and you request it on the Free trial page.
Does the club play in a league?
Yes. The men play in the Landesliga, and the youth teams play league games too. The U12 does not play in a league, only friendly games. You can find upcoming games under Fixtures and results under Results.
