Knights' Code
So that everyone feels at home in the gym, the Knights have four simple rules. They apply to players, coaches and parents alike, where they concern them.
The four rules
Respect for each other.
Everyone who enters the gym greets everyone. If you don't know someone, you introduce yourself by name.
Planning the trainings.
The coach writes in the WhatsApp group one day before training that training is on, and starts a poll. What matters is that we know whether the child is coming. It doesn't matter who answers (child or parents). The answer comes at the latest 2 hours before training starts. Exceptions apply only if the coach knows directly, for example if it is still unclear whether someone can come, or for a late arrival the coach accepts.
Come prepared and tidy up.
The coach brings the equipment, the players bring indoor shoes and jersey. After training, everyone tidies up together and leaves the gym clean.
No phones.
Players are not allowed to use phones in the gym.
Consequences
| Situation | Consequence |
|---|---|
| The coach doesn't send the message the day before | The coach runs a Suicide |
| No reply until 2 hours before training and the coach was not told beforehand | The player runs a Suicide |
| The gym is not left clean | The whole team runs a Suicide together |
| Forgotten indoor shoes, jersey or equipment, phone in the gym, missing greeting | Whoever is concerned runs a Suicide |
What is a Suicide? A Suicide is a running drill: sprint from the baseline to each line and back.
